Our Birth Story
5petals art.studio was created on a sunny day in May of 2023, when its founder, cheryl wu, embarked on an ambitious project that eventually turned into "layers of ME", a mixed media piece of art that exhibited in a small town in Idaho. The piece was eventually purchased by the gallery that exhibited it, and so begun cheryl's art career.

In the same month, two of cheryl's dear friends commissioned her to do small art pieces for their birthdays (also in May!) - and the concept for small-scale art commission was born. 5petals aims to capture the essence of its muse and express it via flowers or plants. We don't realize how much parallel there is between humans and the other living beings on earth, and 5petals aims to bridge that.
